Barb Ulmer, a doctor of physical therapy. She is originally from ND and practiced in ND prior to moving to KS and now moving to MN. She has provided therapy in rural settings her entire career and consider myself a general practitioner therapist. My strengths are in orthopedics and manual therapy. She has taken additional classes on use of IASTM (instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization) assisting with patient care. She has training in the AFIT program which we offer at ARI. This is a tool to determine the general fitness level of people over 50 years of age based on strength, balance and flexibility. Barb also has a background in stress, urge and mixed incontinence; neuro patients, lymphedema and wound care patients. We welcomed her at ARI in 2020 and are thrilled to have her expertise and attention to detail in patient care as a part of our team.
Barb has three grown sons with one in Minneapolis, Fargo and Bismarck. Her husband is working for Fastenal in Alexandria, MN.
